 Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager – Fixed Assets is responsible for overseeing the company’s fixed asset accounting, as well as the recording of IT and facilities related expenses, in partnership with the local and remote team in India. This includes managing month end close, various account analysis, capitalization review and SOX compliance.

 Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage the review of PCHI capital spend requests.
  • Ensure capital requests are budgeted or forecasted.
  • Validate expenditures are within policy and classified in correct asset categories.
  • Review and work with business partners on asset retirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls including the fixed asset process.
  • Compile capital spend by project reporting and review with business partners.
  • Supervise the accounting and review of facilities expenses (R&M / Utilities).
  • Coordinate with IT department on recording of all tech related expenses including SaaS.
  • Partner with Tax department on federal tax depreciation calculations.
  • Assist with external audits – financial statement, income tax, and sales and use tax.
  • Manage Oracle Financials system maintenance (General Ledger / Assets / PO-iExpense)
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

Skills Required: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders cross-functionally as well as cross culturally
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Oracle Financial
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, workflow and multitask
  • Ability to exercise timely and sound decision-making
  • Ability to proactively identify potential roadblocks and present practical solutions
  • A proven ability to quickly learn internal systems, workflows, and technologies
  • Self-motivated and willing to work independently as well as part of a global team

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field/ equivalent training
  • 4+ years of accounting experience- retail industry preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant - preferred
  • Competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees
