Job Overview:

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-site machines.  In addition, the Industrial Electrician is responsible for keeping machines in optimum condition in order to maximize the production output.  This requires troubleshooting and repairing equipment and performing preventative electrical maintenance on equipment.

 Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Install and wire new plant equipment, to include running of electrical cable or wire from panels.
  • Perform all scheduled and unscheduled electrical troubleshooting and repair to plant equipment to maintain equipment at base condition.
  • Read and interpret equipment electrical print, schematics, and manuals to perform required tasks and repairs, and troubleshoot when schematics are not available.
  • Repair or replace defective or malfunctioning components of industrial machinery or equipment to include fuses, relays, proximity sensors, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Install AC/DC motors and drives as needed.
  • Keeps track of electrical inventory and submits requests for parts as needed.
  • Contacts vendors and manufacturers when service requests are necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA and PCHI Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to interpret electrical prints, schematics and wiring diagrams pertaining to industrial production equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details and prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate, or learn to operate, scissor lift.

 Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with 12V, 120V, 240V, 480V, PLC and VFD systems, and AC/DC and Servo motors and drives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of encoders, proximity switches, solid state relays, thermocouples, and temperature controls.
  • Ability to operate drill press, band saw, belt sander, and other related power tools.

 Expected Salary Range:

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.

FLSA Working conditions:

  • This role requires the ability to walk through the Manufacturing Plant.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs, climb ladders & bend.
