Party City has an excellent opportunity for a highly proficient Senior Technical Analyst with proven success leading system-based projects and activities within Space Planning. The Analyst, Space Planning Systems is responsible for converting new business needs into technical enhancements focused on increasing accuracy and efficiency for Space and Presentation.  This position serves as the business liaison between our PCHI IT team, Blue Yonder, and other corporate partners owning all system updates, testing, development, code, and issue resolution. This position works diligently to locate system and/or process gaps to deliver solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner including advanced automations scripts. The Sr. Technical Analyst will lead all technical system projects, helps develop/manage our systems roadmap, leads troubleshooting of all newly identified issues, and advocates future systems enhancements/updates required as the business evolves.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  • Owns architecture and integrity of all data feeding in and out of our Space Management suite to other systems and business units across the organization.
  • Owns all reporting from BY including ad-hoc for both internal and external cross-functional partners to support data driven decision making.
  • Responsible for all system issues and resolution exercises focused on quickly delivering fixes that mitigate downstream risks.
  • Influences system enhancements and upgrades using extensive knowledge and experience with system development in a retail setting.
  • Generates ideas for increased technical system efficiency and opportunities for improved business processes.
  • Acts as a liaison to IT and Blue Yonder technical teams including leading cross-functional meetings and mapping out all priorities, issue resolution, and documenting future activities.
  • Governs QA activity and reporting including compliance, continually search for improvements.
  • Provides direction and support to the Senior Analysts on system-based activities.
  • Determines and Designs automation processes based on research with the Space Planners and provides intuitive tools that are scalable and easy to use.
  • Collaborates with peers and partners to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop knowledge.
  • Identifies and communicates critical system enhancements to be added to our future looking space systems roadmap.
  • Evolves current franchise process using current PC store model including system integration, sophisticated automations, and cross-functional partnerships.

Job Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Space Planning/Floor Planning systems in complex retail environments
  • Proficient in writing and understanding SQL code
  • Experience on design and development of Blue Yonder Space Automation Pro scripts
  • Strong knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel including building forms and queries
  • Experience working with database table structure and schema
  • Experience with Blue Yonder Space/Floor Planning and Category Knowledge Base
  • Experience in version upgrades of Blue Yonder Suite
  • Experience with Web based Space Planning systems
  • Assortment Optimization experience is a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work cross-functionally among multiple departments
  • Ability to work and think independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively to various levels of corporate and retail management
