Job Overview:

This role supports the Party City store teams by providing actionable insights from data. Reporting to the Director of Labor and Analytics, this role works independently as well as on assigned projects to inform leadership and stores of trends, opportunity areas, outcomes and KPIs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supports culture of data centric decision making by both field leaders and Store Support Center partners
  • Leverages emerging AI technologies and analytical tools to help architect the retail operations reporting ecosystem
  • Monitors trends and opportunities to create visibility to key metrics and datapoints
  • Serves the field organization by creating and championing actionable and insightful field facing reporting which empowers field leadership to run their businesses efficiently
  • Performs ad hoc analysis with expertise and autonomy
  • Designs and manages the creation of actionable field facing reporting
  • Owns the entire lifecycle of retail analytics initiatives

Skills Required:

  • Has robust demonstrated experience with analytical tools, ideally with knowledge of Alteryx, Snowflake, SSAS OLAP cubes, SQL, VBA, Sigma Computing, PowerBI, Tableau and/or Python
  • Is data literate and able to effectively communicate a story from raw results
  • Has knowledge of retail and the ability to create summarized reporting dashboard

  • Operates cross functionally as a responsive and proactive business partner
  • Operates autonomously with continuous improvement: resolve issues raised by field leadership and work proactively to prevent similar challenges in the future
  • Provides proactive analysis to varied stakeholders and make recommendations on courses of action for outliers, trends, patterns and efficiencies
  • Effectively communicates with senior leadership, come forward with recommendations and solutions to improve processes and tasks
  • Acts with a process improvement mindset, challenging the status quo and identifying new opportunities to add value
